Don't be frightened by the belly...I know I was ummm still am as it continues to grows...lol. So I started showing earlier than most. Trust me my first thought after having friends and family not show until the 6 month mark; I had some questions for the doctor. I'm like okay doc is this normal? ummm am I overweight? I can handle the truth...well wait maybe not I might just start crying. She said I was a healthy weight and from what she could see all belly. And oh am I belly I even have the penguin walk going on and the lovely stretch marks even after using vitamin E oil (Thanks to Mama Ruth), baby oil, and lotion with tons of oil.
Between weeks 1-10 1/2 I had horrible morning sickness that would come whenever it wanted including at our aunties birthday party in AZ. I felt horrible one minute I'm feeling great and excited and the next I'm wondering why in the world do women do this more than once while I'm hanging on to the toilet. I could forget about eating favorite foods this kid was not having it. Certain smells of food that I absolutely loved would instead give me the need to hang my head out the window like Gizmo (our dog) on a car ride...you can forget about it. As my body began to adjust to it's newest resident the body adjustment became uncomfortable along with feet swelling. As we approached week 11-13 I started to feel better with morning sicknesses coming every once and a while but nothing like before. Andrew went and got me some better walking shoes that helped with back pain and feet swelling. How could I forget (pregnancy brain) the 3D ultrasound we took just before Mother's day weekend (see above) the baby is still developing so the skin is translucent but pretty cool to see. May 27th I heard the heartbeat again 155bmp I can actually feel little movements once and a while but not on a regular basis yet but we know it's coming. We have been playing music every night and reading to my stomach and of course Andrew loves to talk to my stomach so little Cheng knows who he is. The funniest part is when we call to check in with my in laws and my mom and I place the phone next to my stomach this little one starts moving like crazy. Andrew is still waiting to be able to feel movement of kicks or something hee hee. As of today June 13th I am officially 18 weeks so maybe the soon to be dad will feel something. June 27th we find out the gender we are both so excited. We'll keep you posted. I think I have caught up with everything I can think of. Dad to be might remember some more and share later on. We love you Baby Cheng keep growing strong our little mover and shaker.
