So let's see what has been going on since the last post...We were blessed with the presences of family and friends at the absolutely cutest Dr. Seuss themed baby shower ever. G'ma and Fred (name hasn't been selected on what to call him yet) made the center pieces along with other decorative crafts. We also announced baby Cheng's name...for those of you who didn't make it our son's name is Ethan James Towler Cheng. After an eventful day it was nice to get together with family afterward and spend more quality time and eat....Ethan and his parents are definitely fans of FOOOOODDDD!!!! lol. We met up the next morning with family to enjoy more yummy food like dim sum. After saying our c-ya later's to the family Andrew and I spent a few no event weekends relaxing and catching up on birthday wishes we had missed like our cousin Nick. October hit and in spirit we celebrated great grandma Cheng's birthday and the 1 year anniversary of great grandma Towler's passing. Earlier this month we celebrated our flower girl Leila's 2nd birthday. She is growing up so fast. Andrew and I said that will be our little guy one day. Later in the week I received news of a dear family friends passing after battling cancer. It was hard to hear but I'm extremely grateful that my husband was with me when I found out and being to pray with me and for the family. I am so thankful to have a God fearing man by my side to provide me with peace. At our last doctors appointment (37 weeks full-term) we found out I'm all baby; he is in position and he weighs about 7.5lbs and is still growing. The best comment was she said "your not having a small baby" thanks doc just what I wanted to hear on my last day of work...lol. She also asked Andrew if he was a nurse since he knew so much from all of his daddy research he had been doing and school. (Smile) This week I received more news that my another loved one was in the hospital due to his colon collapsing and required emergency surgery. So he has been in prayers and thankfully we received news today that the surgery went well and he has been moved out of ICU. Life definitely doesn't slow down to give us a moment to catch our breath. Speaking of breath I'm struggle to get mine with Ethan stretching and pushing on my lungs. He is currently in a fetal position head is down butt is up high stomach on my left, knees are down bottom right and feet are high upper right. He is currently in my pelvic bone and pushes pretty hard to the point I have to stop or lay down with my feet up. I've been having to sleep on sofa or recliner and with an active little boy there are days I'm at a 3:00 am back to sleep around 6:00 am and back up around 8:30. So he is definitely preparing me for the little sleep I can look forward to.
How in the world could I forget about dad's second half marathon...Ethan and I were there and cheering dad on...GO DAD!!!! We are so proud of him. He has one more to earn his Tri-City metal and Ethan and I will be cheering dad on and at the finish line. |
